Hello everyone! I am "new" here. I put that in quotes because I have been referencing the forum for a few months now. Just finally decided to get off the sidelines and join in. I have been around knives pretty much my whole life, but my interest and understanding was pretty minimal. Recently I have been getting into knives more, and in the near future want to try making my own knives.

So as for my question/recommendations:

I have a Cold Steel GI Tanto and Spike. Both come in a secure ex sheath. (is it kydex? :indecisiveness: ) The GI tanto sheath has bigger eyelets than the Spike sheath. I am interested in attaching the Spike sheath to my GI Tanto sheath. Now I have considered just using paracord to loop through and attach them, maybe even wrapping it some to make it look nice. So being really new to the kydex stuff, is there another way to attach the two sheaths together? Keep in mind, I'm working with two different sized eyelets. Also keep in mind that I'm not really interested in buying/building a press and making my own at this point. :D

Here are some pictures of the two sheaths. (These images are not mine, they belong to Cold Steel)

Thank you all very much.

PS: I really hope this isn't the most horrible first post ya'll have ever seen :)

Welcome! Great first post.

I had a BK2 and Izula attached with paracord for awhile, back when I had the BK2. It was secure enough but with slight wiggle to it. Did the job just fine. You could also try using zip ties to connect them.

Or you could find some screw attachments to fit the smaller of the two eyelets.

Good luck!
