Noob proof grinder?

So does anyone have any pics or examples of grinders used for sword making?

I ask because I can imagine it would be a wonderful help to have a ledge long enoughto hold the blank as its being ground.

One thing I hate is reinventing the wheel. Does anyone have any pics of a grinder hey use for sword making that has such a long ledge?

Pardon me in advance for not knowing what jargon people use. I dont know what they call those things?

A workrest?

It needn't be complicated I wouldn't think, just like a standard work rest only wider. You could even just bolt/attach a rest to the normal one that come on the grinder.
