my kydex just showed up, today. one side is black and shiny, one side is dull and more grayish. which side is inside? which side is outside?

it came from Texas Knife Supply, if that better explains what i'm talking about.
one side is glossy black and has less texture to it. the other is duller almost grayish and has more texture to it.
i'm thinking the glossy side goes INSIDE, but i was hoping to hear from some of y'all first.
