Noobie-Turn a Game Warden into a Game Warden Hack ?

I'm a noobie, so be kind please ;)

I just started collecting the Busse's (love the style and heft)...I have a SAR-3, Game Warden, Mean Street.

I really want a Game Warden Hack.....can I buy a Game Warden...send it to a quality Knifemaker...and have him modify it ? It looks like the blade profile & finger groove... is the only difference ? Or am I missing something obvious ?

I can't tell you the specs, but that is a Game Warden HACK. Great little knife!
 
Yes, you can.

The Busse custom shop will do it for you.

Just about any skilled grinder could.

but rest assured,it is loaded with requests.

it just "looks" deserted to you as a regular member.
paid members can read the posts and can reply to you.
(a paid membership does keep the site running however)
 
btw, HACK stands for Hog Apprentice Custom Knife. The HACK series is Jerry's way of training the new knife grinders.

Cutting out the talon hole and guard and replacing it with a big choil is a significant mod. People have done it. While any competent maker should be able to handle the job, consider asking Garth at Busse first. If they do the work, it will maintain the warranty. Give Garth at least a week after Blade before you try to contact him.
