So I've been trying to get my hands on a sprint run for a while, but it seems like I'm always just a little bit too late. But then I saw an EDCF Moonglow Manix and jumped on it, I was so excited. It just got here today, and I love *almost* everything about it: the FFG S30V blade is great, as are the moonglow scales, and the weight is great thanks to the skeletonized liners. The problem is that no matter how hard I try it just doesn't fit my hand, it's always pinching my fingers somewhere. I want to like this knife so much, but if I can't hold it comfortably it's a no-go. I may still keep it because it's a limited edition but I'd feel bad with it sitting on my shelf when someone else could be using and enjoying it, so I may try to trade it for something else.

I really can't fathom someone thinking a Manix 2 is uncomfortable. In my opinion it has excellent ergonomics so sorry I can't relate. On a better note maybe you should try out something different like a Paramilitary 2.

I already have a PM2 and love the ergos of it, but for some reason the Manix just doesn't fit me.

Looks like you'll just have to buy another pm2... what a shame.:D

I found the Manix2 small for my hands too, sold my orange and CPM-M4 one a while ago.

Get a Para 2 Sprint?

The Manix 2 probably just isn't for you.
Wait for CF/s90v Manix 2 XL maybe?

It was always a bit tight for me too. The Para 2 is close for my XL hands as well. Any smaller and it would be a no go. However, I have found that with some of Spyderco's egonomics they are not real comfortable when just holding them. If you start cutting with them though, it is like the meld right into your hand.

The Manix 2 XL should fix any issues. And like I mentioned earlier in the thread there is a CF/s90v sprint coming out.

So that may solve your problem. =]

And since you like the Para 2 and how it feels, there are many sprints available.

My favorite of the Manix series is the original C95. It's the only one of the Manix series I have remaining in my collection. It's my most useful knife for opening really difficult packaging (hard plastic clamshell stuff and the like) and it really suits my hand.
