NorCal Choppers --------> VIDEOS

That's some serious NMFBM power!

How did the NMFBM compare to FBMs of other flavors? My guess was the the NMFBM was the strongest but that's just based on how it feels slicing air.

Those were some awesome chops! And it must have been recorded earlier in the day, because when I got there, there was so much crap on the floor I had to clear it out before I chopped.

I'd have to chop some more with the NMFBM to see how it is compared to the FBM, but just judging from that day, the NMFBM doesn't have that much more chopping power compared to the FBM.

The NM is definitely the most powerful of the bunch. There is a noticeable increase in performance but technique is still the determining factor. I would say that the NM has a approximately 15% increase in chopping power over the convexed FBMLE and the convexed CGFBM. Yep, you got that right. A nicely convexed CGFBM can compete toe to toe with a nicely convexed FBMLE despite the significant weight difference :thumbup:

That was definitely spark!

J/K, we had this debate at one of the meets. Every now and then, one of us would see what we thought were "sparks" because the blades do get really warm from the friction. But we knew it couldn't be possible, and since we do the chopping outside of Ban's shop, which is near other shops, which have those yellow/orange lights that go on at night, kinda like the lights that go on at night in the streets. At certain angles, the reflection gets caught in the blade and you can see a cool looking orange glow, but sparks just sounds cooler. :thumbup:
