This one is one that I just finished for a member here on the forums, drducati, surprise Doc!!! The photos don't do this one much justice as it looks a lot better in person. I did my best that I could with the stag and I thinned it as much as I could but if you get too thin then your bolts will pull through as the pith is very porous and also very weak as far as holding power goes. The problem with stag is that in order to keep from sanding a lot of the outside off you have to thin it as much as you can but not too much so all stag is different and so a lot of times you never know just exactly how it is going to turn out until you get ready to do the final grind and finish buff, and in the photos you can see some slight cloudiness around the logo because I haven't yet buffed it off or sharpened this one just yet. I just wanted to post it here for everyone to see and I hope everyone enjoys seeing the photos, I don't photograph too well but the fit and finish is what I am trying to show on this one.
