I had a call from Shepherd Hills this morning. The Tony Bose / Case Norfolk is listed on their website, preorder for July delivery. I got my order in! :o

I'm really looking forward to this one. Thanks for heads up. Good to know they will be available soon.

That turned out very nice. And has 154CM blades.

On a side note, I also see Case is about to release their line of desk knives (pearl and red bone).

Thanks for mentioning the desk knives GigOne. I was so excited about the Norfolk I didn't notice them. One of those in red bone would look real nice on my desk! :D

this newest Colaboration is very attractive. i like the Ebony ! but for the same $ you can buy an excellent full custom folder from a number of v. fine knifemakers who post here in BF. makes it difficult for me to justify paying so much for a production knife. i do have 1 colab., the 5 1/4" Folding Hunter (Yukon ?) in jigged bone, and blade signed by T.B., from ebay, and price was "pretty good". a very nice knife, but not as nice as customs in the same price range as this newest offering.
anybody else feel this way ?

Roland, I understand where you are coming from. I keep an eye on the custom knifemaker offerings here on the forum and elsewhere myself and I buy my fair share of custom folders.

You can find single blade knives for the price of that collaboration knife, but you would be lucky to find a two blade knife for that price. The Case Bose collaboration knives, in my experience, are as close as you're going to get to a custom knife without being a custom.

Personally I'm in for a Norfolk because of the pattern. That's one of the nicest looking slipjoint patterns I've ever seen. I plan on putting that one in my pocket and using the heck out of it.

As soon as I get one in hand. . . .I'll let you know if it's worth it or not. Or. . . . .you can purchase two and send one to me. That way, we'll both know if your purchase was good or not.. :D

Gary, thanks for the help ! yep, 2 blades are worth more than 1. now i may need to come up with about $400 Cdn. to get me an ebony Norfolk !
roland

I agree with Gary. I love custom slipjoints, but it's asking a lot for a fellow to compete with a company that will turn out a thousand of one pattern. The collaborations I've owned were nicely done, and thus far have been substantial knives. The Norfolk is especially appealing to me.

Many thanks for the info. Really like the look of this knife, a must have.Only hope they ship to the EU!

Hey folks, I had the opportunity to handle one of the prototypes of the Norfolk while at Tonys a week ago. When Case gets a new collab. perfected they always send one to Tony to put his stamp of approval on. I caught myself just staring at this one...there is so much going on with this new knife and it is so well done by Case that I feel compelled to get one when they become available. I want one of the ebony ones :D

Kerry,
Do you know if the shield is pinned & does the knife have a pivot bushing? Thanks,
-Vince

I know it will have bushing and I think the shield will be pinned. I can check to make sure but the knife should be made just as Tony presented the knife to Case.

This one may just be,the nicest so far. I love the secondary clip blade on it
Pretty certain I'll be getting one, either ebony or antique bone.

Peregrin,

Extremely well stated, and Roger That! Besides everything else, its a Tony Bose collaboration, the cherry on the cake. :D

Thanks very kindly for the heads up here on this one.
