Have to say I am very happy with my yard sale find today. These were both in a locked glass case with no prices marked. I figured they would be priced high in a locked glass case but got them for $5 each. As far as I can tell they are new old stock. Both unused, with leather blade sheaths. One still has perfect label. Label missing on one. Other side of head has residue from price tag as far as I can tell. Orange tape over wedge as would be found on store shelf. Total length is 12". Will probably make one a user and keep the other one (with label) as is.

Any info on the age of these would be appreciated as would any other info regarding value. Thanks for looking.

I'm jealous!
I love the Hudson Bay pattern axe & hatchet and Norlunds had a good reputation for quality.

I had a vintage Norland axe that I sold a couple of years ago. It was one of the best axes that I've owned.

I'll provide u with all the info if u sell me the one with paper label please. :)

If I decide to sell one, I will know who to call ;)

Thanks.

Yeah, $5 each. I looked around on the web and it looks like the labeled ones I saw were fetching between $60 and $100 a few years ago.

I was going to post pics of the 2 old, beat up, needs work hatchets I picked up for $15.00 on Friday. Nevermind, now. :) good score on those two.

That is an amazing deal!! I see these going on ebay for around $60+, when the bidding is all said and done. Those are in superb condition as well.

Wow! That's a great find. I'm hoping to come across one of these some day. Very cool you scored these. I would sure use one of them too.

As for value, they tend to go on eBay for about 40-60 depending on condition. Judging by your pics, it appears to me that you have some very high quality specimens.

Every time I try to bid on one I get beaten! Some day I'll get one!! Maybe I'll get luck like you. Haha.

If you are trying to sell one, shoot me a pm!
