I have a little Norlund hatchet I don't have a scale but, I would guess it is a lb or less. Whats left of the handle is 11-1/2 inches . I need a handle for it. Where can I source one?

Our church barn has been broken into 3 times in the past 2 years the last time they pried the siding off the back corner. They were caught and we got the few things back this time . They also left their tools they used to break in . This hatchet was in the stuff they left it needs some TLC but it can be brought back to a user. I was given it. but I made a donation to the youth group for it

A standard link, Tennessee hickory, or house handles scout hatchet / camp axe ( whichever they choose to call it ) handle will fit.
If it's a small single bit norlund hatchet it would definitely be the voyager.

Thanks
House is where I look first shortest I see is 14 inches I didn't see anything shorter than 14 inches from Link . Whiskey river shows a 12 in . Tennessee hickory shows a 12 in handle I will give them a call Monday morning

Here is my Voyageur with what I believe is an original handle (and 1981 newspaper add):

The handles on these seem fairly unique to me. I could do some type of tracing of it if you wanted to copy it.

My small Norlund hatchet has a 12-7/8” haft, if that helps. No idea if it’s original, though.

Just today at the swap meet, I picked up a 16” hammer handle with good grain orientation, faintly marked “Occidental”. I wouldn’t have a problem hanging the Norlund on it if needed.

User, not collector. YMMV.
