One of these days I'll get to see your work:thumbup: If things go good for me I hope to have a table too next year (or share so I dont have to sit/stand around all day:thumbup: ) if not then for 08'

Cool!

What would you have on the table?

HA! you know I get asked that by everyone...and still...I can not give an answer except whatever the belt makes...I just go grind and what comes out is what it is. I don't draw (I mess up stick figures), make lines on the steel, I don't even measure the steel when I cut it down on my Makita LC1230...I just heat treated 3 clayed blades that are now sitting in my kitchen oven (I don't yet think my wife knows what is going on yet:p but she will later:eek: ) I think the 5160 went ping 2x or even 3x:D I'll post up some pics when they are out and semi-cleaned up...

Here is a pic of the forge after 5mins which shows the amount of infrared light still being emitted inside

I need to go buy some safety shades:cool:

no kiddin!

If I'm heattreating in the forge (which I don't do very much anymore) I spend a lot of time looking inside to watch the colors/temps/etc. After about a .5-1.0 hrs I start getting a "sunburn" on my eyes...ouch!
