i got a call as the salmon river was reaching it's peak and about to flood the small cabin sites in central idaho. i gathered some infi, booze and my girlfriend and headed north 130 miles from my home base.

just got my camera dried out as i fell in the river while retrieving a can of beer, all is well now.

pics are self explanatory, nothing like a weekend with some good infi, whiskey, meat and wimmin in some beautiful country!

short final, watch the trees, no prob when you're sober

Boy it would suck to need to land and have the strip be under water....

Skunk, where are those shots taken? You said the Salmon, but that's a long river, with multiple forks.

People ask me why I moved to Idaho. Showing them pictures like this always shuts them up.

it's called mackay bar, where the south fork of the salmon flows into the main salmon. has about 6 cabin sites and is in the frank church wilderness area.
n45.23 w115.30 or there abouts, going to be a snaky year, we saw 5 in just a couple of hours.

oku, brian made up one for me and one for vicki, those infi coots are another "one of the best" out of busse's shop, they are real users and keepers!

where did you grow up and remember....

we do have a room for you ;)
Not where I think those pictures are from but I lived in the great state of PA until we had to move ...but I sure miss those mountains the air is always a little cleaner.........and watch what you say I will take you up on the offer on the room .......(very nice of you and Vicki) That is just a vacation that I need to take........Just stunning....

talking of moving there I am headed there or Colorado in 2 years. And you keep reminding me why. Great pics man, that landscape never ceases to isnpire, and neither does that infi.

As much as I love the Centennial state (I grew up in Colorado Springs), it is far too developed and growing more and more crowded with every passing day. The Springs was a quiet little town when I was growing up. It is huge now, with all the problems that implies.

Look north and west for better places.

That's it...

Heavy is moving in with the Skunk man....

Goodbye Sears Tower, hello flooded rivers!
