Well its over and what a great time.

I want to thank everyone who had a part in this starting with My Wife who helped me organize all of this from the shopping to the set up.

Thank you Ethan Becker for your great knives and the generous gift box you sent us. Thank you for the Becker Knife and Tool Forum and the Beckerheads.

Thank you Dresnor and Copperhead88 for the great gifts, (Firekits and waterbottle survival kits) the Maine hotdogs, the no bake cookies and that superb chili.

Dresnor brought a bag of knives and more Becker backpacks than any one person should own and did a great show and tell with all of it.

Copperhead88 taught a great class on edible and medicinal plants in our area.

Becker the dog kept all the kids entertained and made sure we had baton sticks close at hand.

Geektechnica brought some onion bombs that everyone needs to try. He helped out with my hammock issues and showed me a hammock and gear I didn't even know I needed. He ran the one stick fire drill and did really well in it himself.

Granitestateofmind showed up with a backpack full of knives and even bigger bag of paracord. He and his daughters put on a paracord bracelet tutorial and handed out knife lanyards to everyone.

Thank you John, Molly and Gracie ( My Kids )for all the work you did for me this weekend. I had a great time and can't wait for the next one.

Tomahawk throwing.
Some new marksman this year.

Field bow contest and winner.
Alwaysoutdoors is a friend of my sons (Slowandsteady).
He is new to Becker knives but not the outdoors.

Granite and his daughters teaching us knots and paracord basics.

Kids and Becker leading the way on the compass course.
Do not use orange tape to mark a compass course in New England.

One stick fire contest.

FOOD

One of Granites knife lanyards on Dresnors BHK.

This is all of my pictures since my cameras battery died.

The road out

I want to say a great big THANK YOU to Trailbum and his family for being gracious hosts as well as everyone else for being so welcoming to me and my girls. Thanks Geektechnica for posting the additional photos; I'm working on getting a few more up as well. Even though I am not an official Beckerhead yet (will be applying this week...) I was blown away by both the hospitality of all involved (even before we got there) as well as the gorgeous venue. I will definitely be there for the whole weekend next year. Thanks Dresnor & Copperhead88 for the fire kits and flashlights for the girls; Becker was a big hit with my little one. Thanks, Ethan for my new Magnum Camp Knife (said with deep announcer's voice) and Ka-Barley.
This Gathering really cements for me the sense of family in the BK&T sub-forum and confirms what I kinda knew anyway...Beckerheads rock!
Anybody out there on the fence about attending a Gathering should just get off the fence & go. I bet you won't regret it.

Thanks again to Trailbum and the other Northeast Beckerheads,
Mike (granitestateofmind)

what a good looking time

perhaps next one!
