I received my GEC abalone congresses a few days ago in the mail.
I hope to learn to post pictures because these knives are the most beautiful I have ever seen.
Ever!
Their symetry, simplicity and the 3D wonder of the handle material caught my by surprise. The back springs are refreshingly looser and they are as pocketable as any knife there is.
If anyone can post a photo, these words will no longer be important.
Just had to share my awe and joy.

I got mine with burnt stag and I can't agree more about the back springs. These puppies turned out great!

Yeah! I was all goo goo over the stag and still am... but this is my first abalone knife, so its new to me. Great knives, great new pattern for GE!

This congress pattern is very smooth. It has a good backspring, but not the snap that wakes the kids up...

Really cool swedges, Thanks for the pictures Mike! I have yet to acquire a congress knife.

Never really cared for abalone but it looks really good on that congress.

Awesome shield.

The new Congress is my favorite pattern so far. The springs make a HUGE difference.

I chose a stag one to go in my pocket!

That is a handsome knife, in either stag or abalone!

I have a Case Medium Congress that I am moderatly fond of, but this puts the Case to shame as far as looks. ;)
