Interesting. Why do you call them "Vikings?" Typically the term "Vikings" refers to raiders from Norway, Sweden and Denmark from the 8th century to the 11th. I do admit that the boundaries between "Germany" (didn't really exist as a country then) and Denmark in particular were a bit fuzzy at the time. Were your ancestors from that area? Just wondering.

it's what I read. it's been a while though I read this about 13 years ago and I should probably refresh myself . I was reading about my Scottish ancestory ( the clan macduff ) and I could swear I saw Vikings in there but yeah it said German

Well... in a way...

The Saxons were doing the Viking bit a few centuries before the Scandinavians started, so I suppose one could call them Vikings.

Oh there's Viking blood in the highlands no doubt of that, as I recall the Hebrides and Orkney's still were ruled by Norway until not all that long ago, and there are even ship ceremonies and the like still held there to this day. I think the Lewis chessmen came from the Orkneys even.

It was just the Germanic Viking thing I was wondering about, I'd never heard that one before. I do agree that the Angles, Saxons and Jutes (along with the Vandals, Visigoths, Ostrogoths etc. etc.) were pretty much going iviking well before it got the fancy shmancy name. The migration period was a very interesting if not altogether comfortable or safe period of history.

so it's worth the money. I really want a link necklace from them but $240 is a lot of cash but if its worth it i will get one

I think so. They create a high quality unique product unavailable anywhere else. Cost is always a factor of course. My customers aren't always willing to foot the bill for such costly adornments. :)
