I just picked up a NW ranger in trade . . . how do they hold up and how do they hold an edge?? I really like the feel of the knife but have never had a 440a blade. (That I am aware of!)

I liked mine and the 440a is not a bad steel and SOG is very good at their heat treatment which makes their 440a better than most other blades in 440a I've used! It is a fine hunting blade but be carefull around the tip, it is a little thin and if you do any "boning" you could break it off! I'll get another one some day soon I hope! Enjoy!!
