Heads up knifeknuts! The NWKC fall show will be Oct. 5th-6th at the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, Wa. This will be our largest show yet and all things sharp, factory, custom, new/old, supplies, will be available for sale/trade. There will be demos of forging and grinding, sharpening, a rope cutting contest, and door prizes/raffle. Start saving and planning now, a knife show is the best place to see, learn, and aquire the stuff we love. Lots of commraderie available too!
There are a few tables available, check out our club website: www.nwkc.org/ email me if you have any questions. Be There!

I'll be there, as usual!...Probably on Saturday, and I'll be wearin' my BladeForums "ID badge", and either my SOG polo shirt or BladeForums "moderator" (SECURITY) T-shirt, so I'll be pretty easy to spot.:).

Maybe we can all meet-up for lunch again, like the last few times, for alittle "show-n-tell"...

Dann, I've got a table but may not be there Sat. depending on if my enslaver employer lets me off. Will be there Sun. for sure though and I've got a little BF symbol for one of my cases. Hope to see ya and all the other NW forumites!

I'm pretty flexable, so I might just show-up on Sunday, rather than Saturday.:).

Christopher and I will be there again this year, probably on Saturday morning. The lunch thing sounds good if we can get enough people interested.

Vel: I heard from one of the makers that they ran out of room at Freighthouse Square. I have to admit, even thought the fairgrounds are closer for me, I preferred Freighthouse Square too. But what the heck, a knife show is a knife show, right?

Dammit! That is the opening weekend of the black powder elk season.
Are there any others in the near future?

So, you'd rather shoot at Bambi's grandad than mingle with your fellow knife-knuts???...Well, now we know where YOUR priorities lay...:).

LOL,
But what better place to really beat up on your knives!

Really it comes down to an opportunity to be buying or using. A pretty tough decision!

Velitrius, everybody liked Freighthouse Square, especially the club, it was CHEAP! But, we started to outgrow it and bottom line, we lost the space to a permanent leasor. We've looked at a lot of places such as hotel confrence rooms, but bottom line, they were all too expensive. The liability insurance alone would have killed us. So we hooked up with WAC for the time being. We fill there empty space and they cover our liability. Eventually, we want to be an atonomous show again, but we need some time to grow and fill the coffers. If you have any ideas for a location, please let us know.
Anyone lucky enough to have a local knife club or show, I urge you to support them.

Jerry, the next local knife show would be the OCKA mini-show Sat. Dec. 7th in Eugene, Or. Our next NWKC show will probably be next June, dates to be anounced.

Mike, Originally I had posted a link to our link website, but in a case of Murphy's Law, it's currently down for some reason so I removed the link. It's www.nwkc.org hopefully, our webmaster will get it back up soon. Membership is $15 per yr. and $5 for additional family members in the same household. For those interested, contact me via email and I will forward your info or come to the show and sign up there.
Mike, check your email.

Mitch,

What day are you planning on going, or will it be both days?
