GEC has a Northwoods SFO 15 on their main page. Was this common news? I try to keep up but gezzz did this slip by me?

I've been hoping for a Wharncliffe version of the 15 for a long time. Couldn't understand why it hasn't been done yet?
I like the look of the smooth Camel Bone that's undyed, wonder how it will age? Not so sure about the EZ open notch, don't see the need on a Wharncliffe actually.

Regards, Will

That is the SFO done through KSF for one of the Facebook slipjoint groups which I'm not sure if I can mention here or not so I won't. I do believe Derrick stated he will be doing a run for his site as well though.

If anyone knows what Facebook is, please let me know.

Hahaha, I'm 32 and was in college when Facebook was only available to college students....didn't have it then and refuse to have it now.

That 15 wharncliffe looks sweet though! I hope they're available to us!

Great looking knife. But, Northwoods always seem to be just beyond my price comfort zone.

Agree it looks nice. I feel better that didn't somehow miss the news on this knife. I hope they also offer to us. I also hope it will have an option for cocobolo.

i wonder if this 15 sfo will have a blade that is more like the wharncliffe Hawthorne Jack and Forest Jack or more sheepsfoot shaped like the fremont jack. if it is wharncliffe shaped i will probably skip the 15 sfo because i already have a wharncliffe hawthorne and a forest jack. If it is sheepsfoot shaped i will get one because i like the northwoods sheepfoot but did not care for the sleeveboard pattern handle on the Fremont Jack. I do like that the 15 sfo comes with a EO cutout.

As for cover materals they will probably be the normal northwoods offerings. a jigged bone, mammoth ivory, possible elephant ivory, ebony, green micarta, possable stag or ram horn, blue camel bone and white or yellow camel bone.

Looks to be like the Hawthorne, looking at the picture from gec.

Hoping for a Mammoth in this knife. You listening Derrick? [emoji28][emoji28][emoji28]

I'm listening. :)

This one is going to be called the Broadway Jack. Named after another Portland bridge.

Derrick, are you able to tell us when the Broadway Jack will be available? Another amazing knife!

Here is something funny... I was just telling Wendy yesterday that I wasn't sure when the next Northwoods was scheduled to roll in here and then today I saw the pic of this one and I said, "Wow! I guess it is soon."

I think GEC will begin shipping them to me tomorrow, so mid week next week. Something like that.

I think we are all looking forward to the details!

You know what would be cool? A Clackamas Canoe...with a spear, sheepsfoot, and spey.

;)

But this is good too...!
