I just picked up a Burnside Jack and the bag the knife came from (from KSF) has a label that was taped to the plastic bag - not like any other bag I've ever received from KSF. Purchased on eBay and want to make sure the bag is real as was represented in the description. If anyone can chime in and let me know your thoughts I'd REALLY appreciate it. If you look closely you can see the label taped to the plastic bag. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1451333907.046267.jpg

It looks legitimate to me. As you can see in the photo below, they have used many different labels on the bags :)

Yep, it is legit.

Mike, you have a lot of bags there. Next time, just ask nicely and we will include a knife free with the purchase of the bag.

I bet that if you send that to Knives Ship Free, Derrick will have the answer.

Thanks Derrick. You could say I'm a fan. Best bags money can buy, and the knives aren't too shabby either ;)

Looks like the bag is real plastic. Not sure if there is "fake" plastic

Starting trouble again. Read my question again, where did I ask if the plastic was fake? Huh? I asked if the label was "taped" on with what looks like scotch tape.

Refrain from commenting on my posts when all you have to say are passive aggressive comments. Doesn't help anyone. Thanks in advance.

Starting trouble again? Nah, I answered your question. I said it looked like a real plastic bag, sorry that my answer didn't help you. The real question is, now that it's confirmed that it's a real bag, does that increase the value??

You actually didn't answer my question.

Increase value? Ask Derek. Hey Derek this user would like to know if a Northwoods is more desirable or valuable with its original bag or without it.

Don't know that answer. I throw bags and boxes away. I also use my knives.

In my opinion, that increases the value to me. :)

We don't do replacement bags. We kind of look at the bag as a way of keeping everything clean and identifying it until it gets into the customer's hands.

We never imagined that bags would be collectible... They are, after all, just zip lock bags.

Touchy, touchy....
Perhaps YOU should read your question again:Purchased on eBay and want to make sure the bag is real as was represented in the description. If anyone can chime in and let me know your thoughts I'd REALLY appreciate it.
You specifically asked if the bag was real....and you asked people to chime in with their thoughts. Why get so bent when it happens?
(Don't worry; I'll refrain from commenting on your posts in the future)

Authentic. I'd that a better word? I'll spell it out much better next time. It's seems a label secured to a plastic bag with scotch tape would be a reason for concern.

These forums are meant to be helpful. I received a passive aggressive response - or did you view that as genuine and helpful feedback? I'm far from touchy, just expect to be treated with respect. I got the answer I wanted so let's consider the thread closed.
