Here lately I have been feeling inclined to host a giveaway so I bought this knife especially for the cause. Now don't get too excited. I was hoping it would be flawless but it does have a few minor flaws:
Minor gap in the backspring but nothing serious.
Minor blade play in the closed position but no play in the open position.
Snap on closing is on the weak side by my standards but it's still pretty good. Opening snap is very good.
Blade grinds down near the tang are a bit odd but shouldn't effect performance.
I considered sending the knife back but I decided to go ahead and give it away as planned. I would not host a giveaway for a knife if I thought it was not worthy and despite it's minor flaws, I really think this one is good enough to pass on to a lucky winner.
Scales are Cocobolo wood. Blade steel is ATS-34 stainless. "Factory" edge is convexed by Bark River and seems to be plenty sharp. 3 9/16 inches closed by my measurements. Blade can be pinched open without using the nail pull. Blade pull is nice and easy at about a 3.5 on the pull scale.
