Anyone have experience with Northwoods brand? Just got a Rangeland fixed blade and am absolutely in love with it, great little hiking companion. 1095 blade steel about 4 1/2 in long with birds eye maple burl

I know you can't use the search feature on BFs (Possibly google with BFs name?), but there've been quite a few threads about GECs, although I'll admit I don't recall anything about their FBs. If they're anything like their slippies (& I have to believe they're just like them), they're probably very good.

I've had a couple of their slippies (Barlow & Scout) & they were very good. Both of them had 1095 blades (Can't comment about the 440C, but again, they're probably nearly just as good). My only complaint was that the pull on the small blade on the Barlow was a too stiff (Darn near a nail breaker).

From their looks & handle material, they don't seem too expensive for what you're getting, IMHO.
