I've been looking at the Northwoods mini-moose lately. Good looking specs with ATS34 steel and a good size at 3.25". Anyone have an idea of who is manufacturing this knife for Northwoods? I suspect that it is Queen which makes me a little uncomfortable based on the quality I've seen from them lately.

Here's a stock photo:

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting thread attached too. Not sure the price is justified given the manufacture. Steel is good though so it's a hard decision but I do really like wharncliffe blades above most others.

Maybe one of our learned members can shed some light on it further and I too would like clarification. Please jump in and help if you know... I thought I had read that the parts are manufactured by Queen and then shipped out. Final build, fit and finish of the parts is done by Northwoods. I myself have a Dogleg Jack from Northwoods that I really like. It is a well made knife that I can find very little wrong with.

I have two of their fixed blades, and the quality is tops. Especially considering the bargain (under $100) prices.

Wish I knew more about their folders, sorry.

Gone Jeepin........

Northwoods was sold to new owners almost two years ago

Is Northwoods really calling that a mini-moose? IIRC that pattern is a hawbaker muskrat.
