Just a general question for Northwoods collectors that may have knives with burlap micarta handles. I've seen several NWs Fremonts, Bear Lakes, Heritage Jacks with burlap micarta handles that have both polished bolsters and brushed finished bolsters. I prefer the polished bolsters which are always on the mammoth, bone, linen micarta knives...so when I purchased the burlap versions and they came with the brushed finish i was admittedly a bit disappointed. Do people "polish out" the brushed finish to make them shiny and polished , or did NW produce some of the burlap micarta versions with polished bolsters from the factory. If you own a burlap that came from the factory with the polished bolsters, Id sure appreciate hearing from you so I could finally get to the bottom of this. THANKS!
