Noryl GTX and Valox Question for Benchmade

I just received a Mini Grip M4 with Ceratoke (great coating) with Valox handles... This is effectively my 4th Griptilian. I owned 2 mini Grips then one reg Grip. All 3 had the same handles, plastic cheap feeling but darn tough stuff.

This material feels denser and grippier than the typical plastic found on Griptilians (Noryl GTX). Feels bit more of a premium plastic.
Is valox eventually going to replace Valox GTX or will it just remain an option for dealers or certain models?

I was under the impression that valox was used in the lighter handle scale colors because noryl gtx is not available in light colors. It was also my understanding that technically noryl gtx is slightly stronger than valox, although probably not enough to make much of a difference. Any switch to valox for the dark handle colors is news to me.

I've owned Noryl GTX black griptilians which were far smoother and felt more plastic.
These Valox handles are different. It is very likely they coated the valox to allow for a black color.
