Is this just plain plastic or its more of a fibreglass filled plastic?
Something like FRN or Zytel?

It is a glass-filled polymer. It feels harder than FRN to my fingers, it seems a bit more rigid and resists impact at least as well. By the way, Zytel is a particular brand of Fiber Reinforced Nylon or FRN.

Noryl GTX is not plain plastic. Noryl GTX, made by GE, is an engineered polymer blend, meaning that several different polymers are blended together in a specific ratio to give a specific combination of properties. It is available in both fiber reinforced versions as well as versions without fibers. I do not know what version Benchmade uses.

Yablanowitz is correct. Zytel is a specific brand of Nylon, and FRN stands for Fiber Reinforced Nylon.

According to GE, in comparison to nylon, Noryl GTX has superior dimensional stability, low water absorption, and heat resistance. Whether the superiority is enough to be noticeable in a knife handle, I do not know. But it should be at least as tough as FRN or Zytel. "Plain plastic" it is not.
