... for picking up a few more OT's for the collection. I won a 61OT and a 72OT on ebay tonight, a couple of the less common models that I don't have. The 72 looks to be unused, maybe a little pocket time, but the 61 looks like I might have to clean it up a little. Thats ok, I like putting a little life back into a neglected knife. Still, at around 10$ apiece, I can't complain.

I bought a 72 a couple of weeks ago. It's a neat pattern and the price was fair.

There have also been a few 89, 98, and 93 models recently. I can't believe how high some have sold for. $50 for an OldTimer?!?

Especially on the 61 since it has been out for awhile. I have noticed the recently produced Schrades are going for an OK price, usually around retail but the less common ones are going through the roof. There are to many Old Timers, even the less common ones, to be paying some of the wacky prices they are getting on ebay.

The prices do seem to be stabilizing a little, but I did watch a NIB 125OT go for almost 160$ last night. That does seem like alot, but thats easy for me to say since I have several. Who knows, maybe the introduction of the Taylor stuff will dilute the market and allow us to find some reasonable prices on the good stuff in the future.

Just giving a update after recieving these knives.

The 61OT is a hard used knife with lots of bladewear and faded scales. Unfortunatly, it looks to have been sharpened on a grinder of some sort. It isn't all bad, the blades still have decent snap, are tight, and nothing is broken. I think I'm going to have to find a better example for my collection. I'll have to be more cautious of buying knives without good quality pics from now on.

The 72OT has only been lightly used and is a very nice knife, I touched it up and gave it a shot of oil and now its ready for some pocket time in the near future.

I also picked up a orange derlin 194OT that popped up last week on ebay, a nice pattern variation for the OT collection. A few more are on the way and I'll drop a note when they get in.
