Guys,

does anyone else prefer brass washers to bearings on a folder? It took me a while to realize that all of my favorite knives from CRK Inkosi to spyderco Yojumbo 2 are on washers. I have a few clippers running on bearings, and something about the way these bearing pivots actuate is not as satisfying.

What is your favorite washer/bushing knife?

I'd never heard of bearings on knives until I read about them on here this year.
I don't personally see the advantage for me. My favourite knife with washers is a Recon 1 tanto.

bearings on knives have been around for quite a while. i like them. my carpal tunnel likes them. my fingers like them. if yaw'll don't like them, that's fine, but they are not going away and will only improve in design, as many knives do. more for me ,lol

Im in the washers camp. Bearings seem to always get some chit in there with any use.

Bearings are fun to play with around the house but not for the job site.

Although I had a shirogorov neon lite that seemed to stay fairly clean. I think that was multirow bearings.

Got a special version of the buck marksman (By SKblades) on bearings that remains my favourite flipper (and one of the few I can tolerate). Nothing wrong with bearings as long as the design and use case is right.

My usual EDC is a fixed blade and a slip joint. Simplicity has its advantages.

Can't really say that I've seen much of a difference.
I've got one Hinderer on bearings, and another on PB washers. I like them both, and I like all of my knife with washers.

I like both equally

Interesting question. I just compared two knives, one with multi-row bearings and one with washers. Both are smooth and move freely and both have about the same amount of resistance when opening and closing. I don't see much of a difference (with these particular knives). One was a shirogorov, the other was a rockstead.

I like both. I use bearing knives more around the house (non dirty environment) and they’re fun to flip open. For a dirty work environment I like the bronze washers better.

I’m a washer guy but I don’t begrudge bearings, just not for me.
My favorite is the Gayle Bradley 2.
