but a small fighter- or a backup combat blade.

Thin and light, not a prybar by any stretch. 5.5 ounces, 9.5 OAL and a 5 inch blade. .095 15N20, convex double edge, stainless fittings on a tan canvas micarta handle. Not quite done with the spine work, but the blade is 400 grit hand finished.

don't know where this one is going yet. Be cool to send another one off to the sandbox.

True, it's not a randal style fighter. There have been plenty of true guardless knives used for fighting through history, though. This one does have a good integral semi guard handle design.

It's certainly no worse as a backup than most of the tactical folders!

I'm still playing with large guards on knives, haven't got one I'm happy with yet.

Christof, I've been looking at, and lusting after, your knives for some time now.

Do you ever use the canvas micarta on any of your forge finish single-edge blades?

I do! Usually the leuku style bushcrafter.

Unfortunately, these photos seem to be a bit weird-

if you pop me an email I can send you photos of one I'm finishing up in micarta. It's a largish one, 6 inch full tang leuku. I'll be doing some more leuku pattern bushcrafters soon- the 4.5 inch variety.

I like how you shaped that handle Christof!!
