Not a knife!

Forgot I had this tucked away, Made by the Ertl Toy Co in 1996 as a savings bank, although you could only save dimes and pennies as the model is only just over four inches long, it's based on a 1950 Chevy delivery van.

They have been mentioned before although not for some time.

I'd like to picture myself in that delivery truck, in the year it was made, running a big load of of 1950 Walden knives in celllophane wrappers,into the back room of my garage.

I don't have a 1950 catalog to complete the vision, but a 47 will do.

Yep that would be real nice thawk, I have daydreamed on odd occasion thinking that one day I might fall upon an Olde Worlde hardware store that still has a good stock of old knives, selling them at the original prices too. That would be fun!

Joel, no knife with this model, found this one on e-bay, searched for a long time elsewhere around the net and came up with nothing. Three or Four years ago they came up regular as clockwork. not seen one for a while. If I see or hear of one I'll PM you.
