I'll try to take some pictures in better lighting later.

Thanks for looking, and, as always, constructive criticism is welcome.

Ooohh... Pretty! Sure like to see pics with better lighting!

Nice work.

Kind regards,

Jos

I don't care much for the cocobolo but man that damascus and blade profile are really really great looking.
The steel looks like it has a lot of chatoyancy and I love that in damascus steel.:thumbup:

What he said. Except I like the cocobolo. :)

Exceptionally nice fighter.

Very nice Philip! I feel that one called for Mamoth ivory. Nice Rados damascus!!

Thanks everyone for the comments!

Thanks!
I made the damascus myself, but if you mistook it for Jerry's steel, then I'm complimented. :)

You did an excellent job.

Roger

Thank you sir! I know I can do better, too. Hard to tell in the pics, but I forged the blade to shape, and so the pattern in the tip got stretched out. I should have done what others do, and cut a wedge out of the tip and weld it shut so the pattern stays more coherent.

Also, I didn't count the twists on the bars, so some are tighter than others.

Still, I'm pretty happy with it. I could almost sit for hours turning the blade in the light, watching the light dance all over the blade. :)

Killer Turkish Twist pattern.
Very nice materials used throughout, Phillip.
Great knife.

In spite of your doubts on execution, it's still an outstanding blade Phillip both in profile and in your damascus.
Absolutely beautiful imo. I'm also another fan of Cocobolo wood. I love it's deep richness.
On the flip side, I'm don't like your guard/handle profile as much as I like the blade. Just personnel preference though.

definitely not a real Loveless
definitely a real Patton:thumbup:
