The reports of the forum SW repeatedly logging people out are getting worse and worse and now I'm to a point I can't browse the site from any mobile device and can only login a few times a day AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS (5 or more login attempts) from a desktop.

Since no one seems to be doing anything about it (other than members trying to figure it out on their own) I'd like a refund of my recently purchased gold renewal*

I usually use Chrome on android, I have downloaded and tried opera and have the same issue. Ive also tried the stock browser on my daughters ipod touch.
One guy (the most recent poster in the other thread) claims he's figured it out and it's cause of certain navigation links being unsecured but I've tried what he said and still the same thing! I'm not exaggerating when I say I can attempt to login 5 or even a dozen times in a row and it just doesn't let me. I enter my credentials, hit login (trying with "remember me" both on and off) and nothing, takes me right back to the main page like if you were a random viewer / non-member.

I'm not a super avid poster than needs to post numerous times a day but what I do need is for the forum SW to remember all my place holders so I can pickup threads where I left off and have the direct links to the most recent unread post available.

Look I don't really want a refund, let's be clear, I just think it's absurd that this issue is being pretty much ignored! If things are happening behind the scenes then let us know what's up, admin even if you don't currently have a solution let us know you're working on it! Suggest a work around for now or SOMETHING, please! Acknowledge the problem exists so we can atleast feel like a solution is coming.

This is the one forum in on that I feel like we're actually a community and I care about what some of my buddies (who obviously I've never met IRL and live hundreds of miles from) have to say and want to converse with them daily and for the last few weeks thay just not possible. Please fix this! I can get on other XF powered forums without issue, it's ONLY bladeforums.

Cereal, Did you try putting https://www.bladeforums.com into your browser? The addition of the "s" in https solved the problem for many of us. Try, putting https://www.bladeforums.com and saving that as your homepage and your login will hold. I can't take credit for this, pombz (can never remember how to spell it lol) informed me about this in the other thread.

Might be something in this, for a possible fix.^

Since Spark mentioned in another thread that BF now had secure login via a new SSL certificate, I replaced the three most-used BF-related bookmarks in my browser with links utilizing the 'https//:' leader for the sub-forum URLs I link to the most on the site. I had noticed when simply linking to 'bladeforums.com', there doesn't seem to be an automatic redirect to the 'https'-enabled site; I had to deliberately add that string to the site URL to get to the secure site. When switching or jumping between the sub-forums I frequent the most, I ALWAYS use the 'https'-updated bookmarks in my browser to make the jump, instead of the in-site quick links. I, for one, haven't had any issues at all with logons or random automatic logouts, and I'm thinking that may have something to do with it. Maybe there are other complications for other users, in utilizing other platforms/devices/browsers; but, at least for me, I haven't been having any issues.

I'm using Firefox on a Win7 laptop, BTW. I also tried functionality with Chrome on the same laptop, also making sure I saw 'https' in the URLs I linked to on the site, and didn't encounter any issues there either, in logging onto BF, or staying logged on.

Same here David. I've tested a little (Windows, Mac, iPhone 6s and 7 and Samsung Galaxy Edge 7) and found that the s does need to be there on the phones. The 's' is automatically added when the address is parsed by the browser.

Been logging me out a lot lately. Replaced my bookmark with the above link. Maybe that will fix it. The bookmark on my iphone has not logged me out at all.

If something is not right, then why did it just refuse to log me in 6 times on a phone, then I come back it logged in, when I changed nothing?

I'm logged in on my phone (that's how I'm posting) but I can't log in on my lap top.
