Is this just me or is it a roll-over from the outage?

The bad news: the attachments might be gone since they were on the Webserver, not the DB server. We're attempting to rescue that data and if possible, reattach it to our db. Until that time, attachments will be disabled to prevent changes from occuring that would hamper rescue services.

So how are others obviously posting attachments (photos) at this point, but when I try to post a new thread with photos, the attachment option is turned off?

They're not uploading pix to the Bladeforums servers. You can also post pix by using another host on the web. There are several tutorials floating around the forums; you might have a look at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=371650
