spiralarchitect-sir,
Just to let you know I appreciate your comments reguarding my knife problem!
I had a chance to check it out tonight. I was able to remove the pivot screw. I just put pressure to the side of the blade with my thumb while undoing the screw. Worked great. The threads were somewhat stripped. I think the threads inside the pivot are also stripped, not sure about the torsion bar as it does not appear broken, but when i put the knife back together it is real lazy. Maybe because I didn't want to tighten the pivot screw to much being it is messed-up.
On more thing. This knife is made of very good materials. The fit and finish are excellent. And I hear a lot of people will call the torsion bar a spring. It doesn't resemble a spring at all. I was surprised what it looked like. Just a heavy piece of wire with bends on the ends.
Thanks again,
ken
