All right I couldn't make it to the Blade 2002 show:( ,(I'll be there next year for sure:D ), I'm sure lots of you couldn't make it either.
I'm stuck at home, cuttin' grass, and doin' other yard stuff:mad: . The knife I'm usin' is a SAK Tinkerer, I'm usin' the bottle opener to open my favorite imported beer:D .

If your not at the show, what are you doin'? And what knife are ya usin' to do it with?

Well, the BF Toronto chapter had a little barbecue/knife show-and-tell in homage of the Blade show....we will be posting pics and a mini-review soon...there were 7 knife knuts and at least 150 knives in attendance :)

It was all yard work. I trimmed the bushes and other landscaping plants. I removed a bed of pansies and replaced them with some ornamental bulbs I had lying around. I pruned my roses back a bit and removed old blossoms. I put some new mulch down around the main bed in the front yard. That's about it.

I carried and used my Buck PCKS 110.

I've been checking the forums several times a day waiting for the PICTURES! That's what I've been doing...:D

Well, I worked on a new prototype folder. I'm trying a framelock tanto style which is entirely new for me. Lots of angles. Having a lot of fun with it. Also did some editing on my upcoming VIDEO...;)

I've been sitting in-front of my 'puter and/or my TV most of the day...(So what's new about THAT?.:D.:D.).

I GUESS I should be outside enjoying the 72 degree SUNNY weather, or even amble-out to the Ocean for a walk on the beach...:).

(I did "win" my bid for a nice Tamrac camera strap on eBay today...:).).

Same here...I'm desperately awaiting news from the show so that I may live vicariously through those who were fortunate enough to partake in the festivities. I also bought another boron coated chive to play with (my other one went to a friend).

My plan was to get out to Great Falls, Md and take some pictures, but I let myself get too busy. Maybe tomorrow...

BTW, have you checked out Kodak Supra yet? The colors are great. The ASA800 film looks like ASA400. I might make that my standard P&S film (to stay off flash). I'm trying to finish a roll in my SLR, but can't seem to find time for 8 more exposures

Swapping an engine in a Nissan pulsar. Nissan is winning.
72 degrees and sunny in Aberdeen? Liquid sun or regular east side style sun?

This London boy attended...
WOW what a blade show that was    :D ...

...then I drove home (1.5 hours) and cut the grass...:p

I only live about 1 1/2 hours from it but did not have the extra cash to go.

Since The Wife is out of town I decided to go see the new Star Wars movie.

It was God awful, I would call it a waste of film except that it was shot digitally.

I'm sitting on my dad's ancient and slow Windows NT Server because the power supply on my primary computer died.
I cannot get to my email, but I do have websurfing capability.
So here I am, listening to music on mediocre speakers and thinking about how tomorrow, when I pick up a replacement power supply to make my computer live again, it's literally gonna cost me a BM TSEK AXIS :(

very depressed right now...

P.S. did I mention shifting computers has also downgraded me to a lowly 28.8?

This is Brenda Bybee signing in on Chuck's account.

I can't believe I've become such a knife show fanatic!! I started going to shows with Chuck about 5 or more years ago as collectors. I've been to the Oregon Show every year since and the MKA - Montana Knife Collectors and Bay Area Collectors shows too! I have met some of the most creative and fun people at the knife shows. I really wanted to go to Atlanta this year since it is our first year being in business as Alpha Knife Supply, but I had to take a group of my 2nd and 3rd grade students to the local zoo for a sleep over/educational experience.

My husband Chuck, Tom Ferry, Bill Cottrell and Nick Wheeler as meanwhile playing in the "Pit". I wish we had a webcam at the show. They have reported back that the show is fantastic! They have table 27 E. They are introducing Timascus - a forge welded patterned titanium. Several makers have made knive with this new material and they are on display. Hopefully we will be posting photos soon so those of us who didn't get the live experience can still ooh and aaah.

I am definitely going to be at Blade next year!!!

Well I have been playing Counterstrike and Day of Defeat most of the weekend, some of you should really try this game it is so much fun.

......stjames YOU should really not bash the star-wars-cult:mad::D.

Awaiting word on the receipient of the 2002 Blade Award for Manufacturing Quality........anyone heard or have any suggestions as to who to call, etc. to find out????????

Yes I did go Fri. and Sat. but had to bring the GF home last night and didn't hear any word from the awards banquet. I'm hoping CRK threepeated since I spent the majority of my cash with them trying to quell my seemingly insatiable Sebenzaholic/Sebenzanista hunger. :-)

Sorry, no pics!
