Not digging the " bird head " blade design (yet). Recommend small blades with leaf

design ! No disrespect towards Spyderco or owners of said knives , but I agree with this gentleman's sentiments regarding the " bird head " design of certain models. I like the leaf blade of the Manix 2 and Manix 2 XL , but I need a smaller knife to EDC in certain situations. I'm considering the Dragonfly 2 at the moment. The Delica would be another choice , but I'm not sure if I would like the design of the blade or not. Please suggest smaller Spyderco knives with the leaf design. Thanks in advance.

Dragonfly is probably your best bet. Great little knife. I kind of like the g10 version but they are all nice.

As far as blade shapes, I prefer the narrower blades like military and pm2 to the wider leaf shapes. They are more functional for my typical cutting chores. I quit paying attention to Spyderco's blade "aesthetics" long ago when I learned that many of the designs that didn't look just right turned out to be...well...just right.

For a Golden Co alternative, take a look at the Native 5.
S35VN blade in either a lightweight or G-10. Tough to beat.

How small do you want to go?

The smallest I like to carry, as an only folder, is my Native 5 LW. It isn't all that much smaller than the Manix 2. However it does feel and carry smaller than it is.

Chaparral is a great choice
Less expensive is the Cat-G10, pretty awesome for the price, and very small and handy
Any of the Sage series, I love the Sage 1 and Sage 2

Too many choices and not enough days in the week to carry them all
