Not getting emails

I was informed that a fellow member sent an email which did not come through. I went through the process of sending myself an email through BF and have not recieved it. I checked my settings and all email options are checked. Am I missing something?

I just sent you an email via the forums, clicked on your user name and selected the "Send Email" option. Let me know if you get it.

No email (not in trash or junk either). Just double checked my email listed in the setting and confirmed it is the address I have always used.

???
 
Try sending me an email, click on my user name, select email.
What is your email carrier? Yahoo? aol? gmail?

I am using yahoo. When I posted in the for sale thread with my actual email address, the seller was able to get an email to me. He stated he tried through BF, but it never came through.
 
Nothing man. I'm using yahoo mail as well and it's about pissed me off completely.
 
I am not sure if it is a yahoo thing or what. The seller I mentioned earlier said that he was not getting emails either from other memebers for the past month. I have no clue as to what is going on. Well maybe someone can help us at some point. At least it's not the end of the world.
 
Yahoo & AOL have been having a lot of technical email issues lately. Your best bet is to get a free Gmail account. It's more stable and secure.
 
I have Gmail, it sucks too. ;)
I'm currently working on an outlook account that looks to be a lot better than the other 2.
 
I have a Verizon-Yahoo account with a Verizon.net address. My new Verizon mobile phone will not install it. It still works on my computer.

Yahoo. :thumbdn: too many glitches.
 
Well I guess maybe I just need to try my Road Runner account and see if that works. Thank you all for the advise. I was unaware that yahoo was so bad.

Not sure what happened, but I was able to recieve an email through BF today. It apears to be back in working order.

I've had Gmail for over 10 years and overall very satisfied. I also still have Yahoo mail through AT&T and it's flaky. I rarely use it but it's still set to send/receive on laptop, iPad and iPhone. Also, I use GMX and it has been pretty good but I don't use it much although it's also set to send/receive on various devices.

There's also Outlook.com, iCloud and AOL amongst others. I know people who have issues with AOL.
