First, let me say tha it is not my intention to go "Spydie bashing".
On the contrary, I own three different Enduras and a Pro-Grip that I consider excellent EDC's for the money. However; I've been considering taking a step up to a custom collaboration with better steel. I recently came across the FRN Vesuvius. I was immediately won over by the tip-up carry, blade style and ATS-34 steel. When I got the knife home however; I noted a LOT of lateral movement in the blade. I also noticed that when pressure was applied to the blade, the liners actually seemed to spread apart. I've got a seven year old FRN endura that locks up tighter. Somebody please tell me that this is not indicative of what I can expect from a Starmate or Lum Tanto.
