Don't you guys hate when people ask what your knife could even be used for, and that even 50 dollars is too much for "just a knife" that they could go buy a shit Burk blade and do the same thing? People say this out of pure ignorance , and not many people know the quality of a blade. Well, I have decided to get a knife that I always keep around, whether in my bag or my jeep, and pull it out to do ridiculous, and normally dumb things, so I can show stupid people, or people that wanna Lear., what a good knife CAN do. I don't know if anyone has seen it, but there is a thread over in the main discussion asking to post pictures of your all time beater knife. Well, it went straight into being more of a busse thread :D I was very surprised to not see any beckers posted yet??? Wth. Anyway, I want to use this knife to chop up frying pans and knock down doors, cut into cars, chop down trees non Becker lovers call l"large":D I want to beat it like no other and I need it to ask for more. I Love beckers, and I could never afford a busse. Not even close. I can barely afford a becker:) And well, I am thinking it is going to be a bk2. I want
.25" thick. But the only problem, is I need a chopper. The ideal would be a .25 camillus bk9. But that is near impossible to find, and I don't have near enough money. How much do you think the 9 could stand up to in what I describe? I really want the capabilty to chop down something big to prove a point. It wins the geniuses over easily. And I want you huye yo post pica of your ultimate beater knives! Beckers, and non beckers! I wanna see the ones that go through hell and back. Pete

The 9 can roll that deep but a 2 would be better. And it chops way out of its size class.

Hmmm for chopping through cars and stuff, the thicker ones will probably be your best choice aka the BK2 or BK3. Ive seen a thread about someone here I think his name was BRab putting his BK2 knife through hell and a video on youtube on some people chopping through a car with a BK3. Though why you would want to do this is beyond me...I own many Busse blades and wouldn't think to even use those for these applications unless my life depended on it...

Yeah the 2 and the 3 are right up your alley  and even for its size my BK-14 Eskabar outperformed every other knife its size that I own. Becker knives are tough sumabeeches.

Definitely go with the 3. It will out chop a 2 and is as tough as any knife around. If you get either, PLEASE post pics of any testing you do with them. We love that kinda stuff!

Hmm...I didn't think about the three for some reason...I guess because of the stabby factor:D and about why I would do it, I normally kinda baby my knives, mostly because I cant afford to get a new one if I cant fix it myself, and I dont literally mean chopping up frying pans and such, I mean that when someone doubts my knife, I can show amount of things it can do. I want to be able to pierce things, but also chop things, and when most people look at the tac tool, they don't see a knife. I do wanna get one though, really badd:D I think the bk2 is the "show people what a knife is capable of" though:) and about abusing the busses, I am talking about the guys that have akife that they use for everything, and still wants more. They love the busses because of. How tough they are.

Hey bud i understand the price factor an not wanting to mess up an expensive knife. I know you said you want a knife with a sharp point so maybe look at ontario rd9 with .25" blade but its 100 bucks. I dont have one or the bk3 but i have used a fiends quite a bit. but i have an ontario sp8, its 10" long and .25" thich and at 55 bucks im not worried as much with messing it up, that being said the sp8 is my most used knife at the moment and the best batoning knife i own. i find it better than the bk2 or bk9 for batoning due to length and thickness of the blade. I have put it thru hell and it still keeps asking for more.

Oh man, I didn't even think about the sp8! thanks bro. is the chisel tip sharpened on that thing?

REAL Beckerhead won't associate in those strange places. We have our own Forum, thank you.

I'm with Moose, BK-2 is the tank you're looking for... naysayers may be directed here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/839944-BK2-test-the-final-part-(LOTS-of-pictures)

as for my most beat up knife... My Bk-14 has seen abuse waaay out of its class... it's been batonned thru trees, used for a can-opener (read batonned point first into metal), countless actual chores; a friend borrowed it and used it to pry up nails and work drywall... it's had a hard life and never ceases to amaze me

a pic from before its strip

here's it long after the strip... also the drywall/nail prying, etc.

If you ask again in a year... it might just be my bk-16 that gets the hardest life award. Though there was that day I dropped about 6 trees between 4 and 8" diameter with my machax... :D

... double tap
made better with pic of my well-loved machax, don't remember if this was before or after the lumberjacking.

Yeah, I am thinking the bk2 ....I will handle a bk9 in person and see about that. And someday I will check out one of those sp8s thanks worldwood! Now I just need to find a bk2...not enough money at the moment haha. I posted a thread in the trade forums looking for a 9 a 2 ora 3 if anybody is lookin to get rid of one:D thanks guys!

+3 on the machax. If your lookin for a knife that's tough and great at alot of tasks as well as hacking, i'd say consider the bk 4. There's a video on you tube where Uncle shows all its uses.
