There are basic usages taht everyone knows a spyderco can perform such as stripping branches, cutting up food as well as SD. But did u know that it is also a very handy surival tool??? Not in the usual applications of course.

I am talking about as a reflector. I noticed this while I was polishing a knife the otehr day at work.

I was making sure the inside of the hole was not collecting any rust when I noticed that in a pinch, I could use it to accuratley signal an airplane should I ever needed to.

I mean I could do that with just about any knife right?? But with a spyderco, u could actually aim the reflections.

The real advatages of the hole and its many applications

Very Clever!

Though I've never understood how you used that hole to aim the reflection........

I'd find it hard to do so. I've just tried it and it's kinda hard to use the hole to aim the reflection.
I'd think carrying folded up tinfoil or even a space blanket would be easier to do so.
