Bill,
Lovely cigar tools.... any chance of you sharing how you make them? I normally use a "V" cutter on my torpedoes.

The underside of the giraffe bone body is routed out using a cone shaped router bit mounted in a milling machine. The hole on top is done the same way with a 1" round router bit. The stainless frame is bent around the bone using a 50 ton press brake. My brother does this for me in his shop.

The blade is made from a square piece of 01. It is cut on the diagonal to make the triangle shaped cutter. The cutting edge on the blade is ground at a 45 degree angle with a specially shaped grinding wheel.

The blade is mounted on the plunger using pins and springs.

That's about the only way I can describe it.

Bill
