Just got a band new CQC-7 with standoffs and I am already having problems with it.
I tried taking it apart to clean and last screw on the end just spins the standoff and unwinds the other screw. So I tried 2 Phillips screwdrivers and held one side while trying to loosen the other (holding both sides at one time is not easy). Still it unwinds the opposite side screw.
I never had these problem with the old spacers. Taken apart dozens of Emersons I owned and they are simple as all get out.Never had an issue like this.
I am going to call Emerson tomorrow but the last thing i want to do is send it in after just getting it. I kinda what to just get rid of it now and get one with the old spacer.
Reminds me of the old saying Mr. Emerson. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
