Not mine but take a look!

It's awesome. It's just screaming "Chop with me!" though I don't think I could bring myself to do it and mess up the prettiness if I had it.

One of the things I was most concerned about when I started working with knives over a decade ago was that this knife style was virtually unknown outside my region and even here only the old timers knew what it was. Now I can say my mission of rescueing the Sorocabana was completelly successfull since it is well known inside and outside Brazil and many makers have used the pattern with more or less fidelity to tradition and that will make sure it will not be forgotten. :D
Regarding this knife´s ability to chopp, it is enough to mention that at his JS performance test Ricardo chopped 15 2x4s! I think he knows how to make good choppers.

Very nice, I realy like the handle shape, looks like it'd remain secure in the hand even if it was dipped in motor oil

The curved shape of the handle is very typical of this knife, from the tiniest ones to the big machete like pieces (even though there are some variations, notably the fish tail style), and It works very well to keep the blade from slipping. The eye on the pommel is also seen on the traditional knives, but making it from damascus was a very nice touch.
