Not my usual work, but I agreed to make it.

A good customer wanted one of his dream knives made and wanted to know if I would do it.

I turn down a lot of custom orders if it is something I would not want to put my name on, but this design was something I could work with and get it done for him.

This is CPM 3V Rockwell 61 with black canvas micarta.

He named it "The Guillotine" :)

I think it’s badass and frankly I can see your style in it.
Also, this is one of those knives where jimping looks appropriate, just my opinion.

it looks well made, as does all your work, but if I'm being honest I'd be saying that it's kind of bland compared to what I'm used to seeing you post. Please don't take that as a knock, it's a compliment

I agree, but this is 100% a customers design.

When approached to make a design I always kind of wince, this time it was something I would make and he is happy.

I turn down custom work often because I just would not put my name on certain things.

One time I fellow approached me from Hawaii. He wanted a blade made and was going to send me large piece of Koa. He then wanted the blade in damascus.

So far so good, then he went on to describe the blade with large saw teeth and flames type cut outs for the guard and forked tip.

He was willing to pay big money to have it made.

He was not happy when I told him no way would I make that.

Everyone has a dream, but I refuse to make it my nightmare LOL

Adam Vigil...dream crusher.

Hey, Jesse James turned down a Sylvester Stalone request for a yellow chopper. Said he wouldn't make a yellow anything since it's the universal color for cowardice. Gotta have your standards! Lol Sly even called him personally to talk him into it, and the reply was "nope."

Love these little EDC blades. Love the "reverse tanto" style wharncliffes because they seem to get thicker tips.

Nice work. I like the design as well. While not overly flashy, it looks very well made. Clean work never goes out of style.
