I am aware that it is bad form to post a 'new' thread that either asks questions whose answers have been previously discussed ad nauseam, duplicates topics to scores of threads prior or simply restates the obvious...well, I am going to break all of these rules...apologies!

I am willing to break these rules to give a shout out to G2! But also show you that a nice sheath should not be reserved for your high dollar knives! Yes, the sheath(s) cost more than my 112, but the ability to carry in a quality sheath is priceless...

1) "asks questions whose answers have been previously discussed ad nauseam"...why did I wait so long to reach out to Gary to make me a sheath?????

2) "duplicates topics to scores of threads prior"...Gary's sheaths are top notch and worthy to wrap around my 'common' Buck 112 or my custom William Henry T12 Mother of Pearl/Damascus (my next sheath request)...both of these sheaths for my 112 offer a 'SNAP' when the knife is seated into the sheath...truly custom to the specific knife (for those that do not know, you send your knife to Gary)

3) "simply restates the obvious"...Gary is a stand up, honest and trusting artisan...multiple update emails with the progress of the sheaths, special request accepted on how I wanted my 112 to ride in the sheath (specifically my Horizontal sheath) as well as a detailed phone conversation to ensure all was understood on his end...

Thank you Gary for not only crafting a quality, MADE IN THE USA, product, but also for your thoughtful demeanor throughout the entire transaction.

A comment about the packaging...really!?!?!?! Instructions on how to best open the box, double foam pads as well as custom surrounds for each sheath...

Finally, Gary noticed a bur on my blade, so he touched it up (of course, being the respectful gentleman that he is, he asked my permission before he touched my blade, errrr, that sounds a bit creepy, hahaha)

Thanks again Gary!

Here are some pics of both the packaging and the sheaths on my belt...not the best pics to show off the quality AND sadly the pics cannot convey the smell of the leather, perfection!

Should be in the good feedback section.

That said, Gary is a gift to BF.

Agreed EyeDog on both accounts...

'Living' in the General Knife Discussion house, I hope this gives others some insight into an excellent sheathing option for their prized knives...

Mike, thank you for your service!

GG has always been a stand-up poster, and a credit to this community. Glad to see his skills as a craftsman are on the same level!

He and his tutorials in the sheath section were the reason why I signed up for this forum in the first place.

Nice thread , and super nice sheaths .
I hope this stays in general and isn't shunted somewhere else where it will never be seen .

Gary exemplifies why I've hung around here for so long. He's made me a darned fine sheath or two over the years, like this one:

Well Professor, that is one nice CRK...I may have to follow your lead! However, my Sebenza, also made in Santa Cruz, has been riding on the same sheath it came with when new...needless to say, the leather is worn in and patina'd 'just right'!

Thanks for sharing that beautiful combination...

Anthony! thanks for the thread and glad they arrived safely and you like them, and folks you are making my head swell up, appreciate all the friends I've made over the years here, good stuff in BladeForums people!

Professor, that's a dandy knife too sir!

Again, thanks Anthony!
