Not quite a Becker question....

I'm asking the mods give me a one time pass on this. I know this is a Kabar forum question, however I think I'll get my answer here faster because Becker owners are also Kabar owners, and unlike Kabar only owners, people here have Jasco addiction.

I just picked up a USMC Kabar full-sized knife in a trade. It's like new, and my plans for it are to get one of Godspeeds new kydex scout sheaths for it. I am also debating on stripping all the black coating off. However, I just cannot picture in my head how this is going to look (It's the leather handled one).

Since almost everyone that has been here more than 3 weeks strips their knives, does anyone have this particular knife with the coating stripped, and if so, could you help a brother out and post a pic for me?

Not sure how your finish compares to the one on the new Becker products, but a nice fresh razor blade scraped the finish rite off my Bk11 nice and easy. Hope this helps.
 
I would much rather have seen you post this in Ka-Bar and maybe point to the question in the Chat thread.
I'll let it ride for a bit and let the other mods chime in on this one, but AFAIC, Ka-Bar stuff belongs in the Ka-Bar forum.
 
A) My MKI is kraton, I wanted to see what a stripped and POLISHED one with leather looked like.
B) The ones in the one link aren't polished
C) a polished blade with no handle doesnt help. Not to diss your exceptional 30 seconds of searching:D:p, but I actually DID search the Kabar forum longer than that. I think my logic for asking here was sound, and I DID post mandatory Becker content.

Want to see one shiny like the BK9 in the pic. Will keep looking. I thought a Beckerhead might actually have one.
 
I supposed my first mistake (other than asking) was to restrict my searching to BF. Went outside and found this:

Not sure...Good match with the stripped Beckers, or does it look better with the black? Something about brown handles and stripped blades....don't think it looks as good as plain black handles. Seems like it doesn't match. What do you think?

I hate to rain on your parade, but there is a surprising lack of Becker pictures in this thread. It could just be my retarded computer, it wouldn't the first time, but I still want some Becker pronz in this thread, only because every other thread in the sub-forum has it and I can *normally* see it.

It's your retarded computer. There are three large Becker pictures for all to wonder at.
