I was working on some mokume-gane billets planning on making some pommels and guards. My previous billets came out fine but this one completely melted ( I was not paying attention at all ). Now I'm left with a mound of mixed nickel and brass. I just wanted some opinions on what I should do with the melted left overs.

Everything is there but I don't see any nickel. Should I forge this out then grind it and check for any pattern or just toss it out and learn to pay attention to what I'm doing next time?

Nickel silver and brass are the same thing with just a little variation. They melted nd alloyed into yellow brass ... make a paperweight from it.
