In my dealings I was looking for a new Walker when I happened across this one. I'm used to the alumite being VG-10 or Zdp rather than AUS-8 only to find out that this is a CX06 Experimental Walker. Does anyone know when these were made? How many? I'm a little curious about value because I want to carry a Walker but if this one is one of ten or something like that I'd put it towards finding a different carry knife for Chicago or in a display case for bragging rights.

The CX06 is pretty damn rare! They were produced in 1997 to early 1998 and could only purchased from Ironstone.. Used or new they command a high premium. Last time I saw one selling, it was slightly under a Grand.
I'm not exactly sure about numbers produced, but I'm sure it was very low.

That is an awesome looking design! If I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of those it would be instant keeper status - looks like a design begging to be used!

Oh Mr. Sal, you're out there, please consider bringing something like this back! It is near perfection!

It is still around! It's called : Spyderco Michael Walker design. It comes in a myriad of handle materials and different blade steels, but ya gotta search for it!

Oh yeah, I know all about it (and hope to snag one one day), but even so, I can't help but think this model would be pretty sweet done up in some of the more modern steel offerings Spyderco has been working with ;-)

I kept looking around til I found it

Funny I have been carrying one around for years and it's getting pretty worn. Been banging around in a desk drawer for a while so I thought I might seek out a new one. I stumbled across this in my search to replace it. Looks like I should hold on to it!
Bought at Ironstone very incidentally, apparently in 1997. A good friend had a Spyderco Bob T which I liked a lot, but I thought this had nicer lines, and it was a bit smaller, so perfect for me.
It's held up pretty well for 20 years of use.
