I finally got the 3 inch flipper slicer that I have been on the hunt for, for so long. I'm amazed how close it is size to my small sebenza, which is a great thing, but with a flipper! It was BNIB, but pretty sure stock ones don't have gold pivot screw. Not a bad thing as it actually saves me a bit of money. I need a bit of info on this, I think it's copper as it has tarnished a bit. Is that correct?

Anyway it is going to be a while before anything else gets a chance to ride in my pocket.

Tried to get it to rotate, not sure why it won't. It rotates every time in photobucket.

2 is a herd! Btw, the newest 3" models all seem to have that color pivot (probably a result of the heat treat). I also have a 3.5" Wharnie and have a 3" slicer on the way! You have good taste.

Good to know, thank you. It flipps better than what I thought it might with less mass in the blade. I like the pivot screw color, it seems to have some patina on it already which I really like.

As for the wharnie and 3 inch slicer, great minds.....

It's a herd to me. I have a 3.5 and a 3" slicer. I'm a slicer kinda guy. Nice scale colors by the way.

I agree, the pivot screw does look cool on the newer ones. Mine is the same way.

Definitely a herd, and very nice! Now all you need is an XM-24 spanto, and you'll have all sizes and all the production blade types.

Funny you say that, if I were to say that another XM is in my sights, a Spanto 24 is next. (I know you were talking to the OP but since we have the same knives, I am responding too:))

Thanks, I'd have to hold one before I pulled the trigger. The 3.5 is my biggest folder and I'm not sure too much bigger would work for me. Here's the rotation, 3 inch XM, Mini Grip, Small sebenza, 3.5 wharnie, and Manix 2. Had a Zaan and sold it as it was a bit too big and bulky. After having the 3" slicer actually thiking that wharnie might be as good in a 3".

I'm amazed at the finsihes on these knives. After a couple of months my CRK looked like it had several years of use. The wharnie has seen way more use and looks basically brand new.

Beautiful XMs......congrats !!!
The 3" is awesome....glad you were finally able to score one.....

Hell yes it's a Herd!! We were all there at some point and some still trying to make it to 1... So congrats on your Herd! And I am glad you're enjoying them :D

Take care

If you think the 3.5" is big, the 4" is a beast, so definitely hold one first. Congrats on the great knives!

Try it, you'll like it! I can't imagine ever selling either of my XM-24s, but have been dreaming of one more!

I've also noticed the thumb stud isn't as sharp on my finger. Is this the domed stud I've heard about?
