Coldsteel SR1 needs a bigger blade, I got one a little ways back(2 weeks) and I love it but the blade looks a little out of size for the size handle it has. Does anyone feel the same or do ya'll have an opinion?

when I first got one years ago I felt that way. I've gotten over or past it now.

Yes. It's called the 4 max.

In the high speed world of tacticalness. I think bigger handle to blade ratios are a bit better.

If I am wearing gloves in the rain in a knife fight. I want as much handle as I can get.

Every Demko design I've owned has a slightly long handle relative to its blade length. I'd say it comes with the territory -- and you get killer ergos and a very secure grip because of it. :)

The 4Max needs either a larger blade or smaller handle. There is no reason to have a 6" handle with a 4" blade. I would like for Cold Steel to make it with a 5" blade and keep the 6" handle.

The 4 Max is a surprisingly good chopper because of the handle.

The design concept for the 4 Max was to make the most useful Tri-ad folder with a 4"blade limit .

If you look at the 4 Max folded , the blade pretty much fills the available space in the handle .

Tri-ad Lock takes some space . 🤷‍♂️

Spyderco is fantastic with its handle to blade ratio.

Para 3 ain’t bad. The Tenacious (although knife snobs will dismiss this based on country of origin) is also great.
never owned a pm3...dont know. the tenacious isnt bad. likewise the resilience is very decent and better than the military in the handle to blade size as well.

The Resilience with s35v steel is a bargain. Seems well made. And I m a Cold Steel user most of the time.
I got the Tenacious S35V before my local seller closed up shop. 😭 The Resilience sadly wasn’t available.

Yeah, my Spydies are good friends with my Cold Steels.
