The kris was phased out for a reason. I'm guessing gunpowder probably had something to say, but the design being insanely hard to sharpen likely didn't help.

Sharpmaker could do it. But most of those that I've seen were crap steel.

It is working. I think I just needed to restart my browser. Cool blade but definitely not one I would want to sharpen.
